SUPPORT GROUP - AL-ANON/ALATEEN
Provides approximately 200 groups which include both groups in Spanish as well as Open and Closed meetings, meet throughout the area. The purpose of the meetings is to help people cope with another's alcoholism and to show them how they can change themselves. Meetings last approximately one hour. Adults supervise teen (ages 12-19) & pre-teen (ages 6-12) groups.

Organization Description:
The Al-Anon Service Center of Northern Virginia helps families and friends of alcoholics recover from the effects of living with the problem-drinker, whether a relative or a friend. Similarly, Alateen offers support to young people who are affected by the alcoholism of others. The Al-Anon Service Center sells a variety of published Conference Approved Literature, and provides a list of meetings in the Northern Virginia area.
